Single scoop of ice .27 when I was in grade school! Favorite flavor?? Banana Marshmallow on a sugar cone!
ReplyDeleteSay ED!!!
ReplyDeleteYeh, ED. Wow. Great memory. That guy was ALWAYS there. I suppose he owned the franchise.
ReplyDeleteGreat memories! I believe the single dip cones were .27 when we lived above them! My 25 cent allowance would not quite cover the single dip on a sugar cone! There were apartments above the businesses when we lived there. Moved south to Tampa FL after the third grade in '71 and all these photos are letting me relive some wonderful youthful years. Thanks a bunch for sharing these photos of Riverside. Do you remember the bakery to the left of Baskin Robins? Or Harry's vacuum cleaner sales and service one or two businesses down on the right next to the alley? I recall spending much time in their stores. Era late '60's through at least the mid '70s when I visited a few times as a young teenager :)
ReplyDeleteI remember the Grand Opening!
