Riverside Illinois' New Year's Water Tower Fire of 1913

In the early hours of New Years Day, 1913, a fire destroyed the wooden tank, the pump house, and much of the upper stories of the Water Tower. 

This is what Riverside's 1700 residents woke up to over a century ago!
