Riverside, Illinois' Original Hotel

Did you know in the late 1800's and early 1900's, Riverside had a luxurious hotel overlooking the Des Plaines River next to the Riverside Town Hall? Here is a rare photo we recently found on eBay:

And a rendering of what the hotel looked like in its heyday in 1871. Many Chicago residents resided here during The Great Chicago Fire in 1871.

The hotel was destroyed by fire in the early 1900's. Imagine what it could be today!
